Homemade Pizza Dough

This dough is SO good, and there is just something extra special when it’s made from scratch. 🤩 Double the points that it’s super easy to make!

Pizza Dough:

Mix together 1 cup of warm water with 1 tbsp dry yeast & 1 tbsp of sugar. Let rise until bubbly top forms in bowl. Mix in 1 tbsp of oil & 1 tsp of salt. Slowly mix in 2-2 ½ cups of flour (½ cup at a time). Knead on a clean surface, until a nice dough ball is formed. Shape onto parchment lined baking sheet or a cast iron. Fork prick lightly the entire dough surface, light enough to not fully poke through the dough. Bake @ 450F for 5 minutes. Add all desired toppings, and bake for 15 minutes more.

*Pizza tip— chop up the toppings so you get little pieces in a bite, rather than big pieces to prevent the hated topping slide off.

Pruning the basil from the garden easily decides our toppings for us. Obviously a margarita pizza was on the menu.
