Without fail this activity will always be a hit! I remember back when I was in school my science teacher doing this with us to teach about the chemical reaction.. also.. science fair volcanoes anyone!? Add some food coloring, and you’ve got yourself a rainbow of fizzy fun!

What you’ll need:
• baking soda (I buy bulk from Costco)
• Water
• White distilled vinegar
• Food coloring.
I mixed together 3 cups of water with 1 cup vinegar You can use more vinegar with older littles, I just didn’t want to be wasteful when my toddlers dump it.. which they did. 🤣 I put food coloring of all of the colors I wanted, then added the liquid. Grab some droppers (kitchen baster or squirt bottle work perfect too!), and some scoops too. Our little fun dropper came in a fine motor set from Amazon. Towards the end of the activity, my two were just exploring the wet texture of the baking soda. It’s a perfect outside activity that can be hosed down, and cleaned up easy (including the kids 😉).
