Homemade Pot Roast

This pot roast is time and time again, perfect. It’s mouthwatering, savory, and the meat is so tender. I can’t rave about it enough, and I’ll always come back to making this recipe.

Savory Pot Roast

Ingredients:

Beef Roast (few pounds, give or take)

Dijon mustard

2-3 chopped carrots

3-4 chopped potatoes

1 yellow onion chopped

1 cup of water

1 stick of butter, chopped

1 packet of au ju seasoning

1 packet of brown gravy seasoning

Directions:

1. Put half of the veggies on the bottom of the crockpot.

2. Heavily rub roast with Dijon mustard all over. I love using Grey Poupoun.

3. Pan sear roast on all sides just until sides are browned, then transfer to crockpot.

4. Add remaining veggies, seasoning packets, water, and butter.

5. Cook in crockpot on LOW for 7-8 hrs

6. Remove meat and veggies to a serving platter.

7. Put juice from crockpot in a sauce pan and add 2 tbsp of flour & 1 tsp of salt. Whisk mixture on medium heat, until thickened.

8. Pour gravy over meat and veggies and serve with dinner rolls and a salad.
